Q&A WITH RICK BRAVO

GO BRAVO

A: Well, the first approach I take is to evaluate everything that the client is expressing to me of their wants and needs in their next home. When I have a client that is selling a home, first and foremost I make it as smooth and easy for them as possible, because moving is an extremely stressful transition, whether they are upsizing or downsizing. So, I supply them with vendors, stagers, and everything else involved to market a house correctly to get the highest dollar amount for them.

A: I take great pride in having a very seasoned real estate background and building my own custom homes. I can tell good materials from poor ones, good craftsmanship from bad, and I never hold back telling my clients if I feel that certain parts of a home are not up to a quality standard. And they always appreciate that. I always treat my clients the way that I would want to be treated when making such a large investment.

A: My favorite part about real estate is handing my clients the keys. The moment when everything comes together! I also like when I make the call that their home has successfully closed or that their purchase has recorded. It really is like matching people up with one another. Homes in my opinion are under the same umbrella. Not every home fits every family, and when I find them the right home, I know it, and it’s a great feeling.

A: I have been blessed with having a very successful real estate career. I started out over 25 years ago, and I have seen every market there has been. Whether the market is going up or down, I always place myself in the clients’ mindset of what they must be going through. Let’s be honest, anyone can be a realtor and sell a home. I take great pride in trying to find them the most magnificent home that their money can get them when purchasing, and for my sellers, I do everything possible to get the highest sale for their home. Every agent has their own approach, some come off extremely serious and some are, in my evaluation, simply not enthusiastic enough. I recognize that this is one of the biggest decisions that they are making, and I am enthusiastic and focused for them, from start to finish. Let me put it this way, it’s like when you are trying to get in shape. Instantly, stress comes over you and how you approach it can make or break the success of your goal. I think real estate agents are somewhat house coaches for clients. I keep the momentum positive, strive for success, and understand that it’s a challenge for them and respect that. The reward will far succeed their efforts.

A: Well, a lot of this is in my bio, and I like the question. As mentioned, I grew up in Northern California (Silicon Valley) where my parents were custom home builders. I’ve always had great passion for real estate in every aspect. I have this natural mindset that houses really can make dreams come true and certainly success. When purchasing the right home, it will reward you with monetary appreciation, and who doesn’t love that! I moved to Rancho Santa Fe in 2011 to raise my twin sons, Ford and Grant, so they could attend the Roger Rowe School. It was a decision I have never regretted as they started as kindergarteners and graduated in 8th grade from Roger Rowe. To be completely transparent, my focus was raising my children and selling homes for specific clients. I have since opened all of that up as my sons are now in high school, and I have the proper amount of time to focus and spend on my clients because I take real estate very seriously. When a client puts their trust in me to represent them, whether buying or selling, I am determined to prove them right that their decision to choose me over many other qualified agents was the right one.
